Sorry I’ve been so slack lately

Well it finally rainned. It is still hot, but at least we don’t have to worry so much about our water supply. Daisy and I have been enjoying our summer. Although, since I have been spending more time with her she has gotten so clingly. She was clingy before, but now it is getting to the point of smothering. I am still enjoying her though. She is learning so many fun things to say, and it is fun to listen to her have a conversation with you. She also likes to make up stories and tell jokes. She really likes to go outside with Nanna and Grandpa and “help” in the garden. I bought her some garden tools and a wheelbarrow and she loves to play with them.

Sad news…one of Daisy’s fish died. The one with polka dots all over. If you ask her about it, she’ll tell you, “the fishy went down the toilet.”

So freakin HOT!

I am dying. It has been so hot and no sign of rain forever. They turned the water off at the park, so going to the park is kind of out of the question right now (No shade and the slides get super hot). We are in a drought, so we have to be careful with how much water we use, and since we use a well, we have to be extra careful. So I have gotten a little creative. I have started to fill Daisy’s pool with water so that she can play in it durring the day, then in the evening, I give her her bath in the pool with the same water that she used to play in all day.

Clogs

I just want to say that clogs were the best invention made for toddlers. They can get wet and can dry very easy and fast, or dirty and be washed very easily. I have a pair for Daisy that are light pink, and when ever I take her to the park I make sure she wears them, because I know that we are going to leave the park soaking wet. There is a little water area that has sprinklers that go off, looks like a minnie water park. Daisy will get wet and then run to the playground and go down the slide, then back to the water. The ground by the playground area is so hot because it is made out of old tires. So the clogs are perfect for going to the park. They keep her feet from getting burned and they dry off in a jiffy. She also loves to play in the back yard, which consisits of moslty red dirt. We have a huge garden out back and she loves to play in the dirt and to put stuff in her little wheel barrow and push it around, so her shoes always get so dirty. The red dirt is hard to wash completey off of cloth/leather shoes, but her clogs come clean, and look as good as new (her socks, don’t, but that is ok). Anyway, I love clogs, and just wanted to share how much I love them with everyone.
