uno, dos, tres,….
Well, I have been teaching Daisy her numbers for a while now (both english and spanish), and she does pretty good. The funny thing is… when she counts in english, she always skips 1 and 2 and starts on 3. Then she only goes until she gets to 7 or 8 and stops. BUT when she counts in Spanish, she starts at uno, and finishes with dies (sp?). She does it perfectly in spanish and seems to have trouble with english. Try to figure that one out.

Fall

For all you pacific northwesterners that don’t know what a dying tree looks like, here you go. Fall has arrived, and all of the trees are turning many different colors. This is a view from my front yard. It doesn’t really capture how beautiful the trees really are, but they are really pretty. I didn’t really notice them much last year, because I just stayed at home and didn’t go out much. This year though, I am never home, it seams, and the drive to and home from school is really pretty. It is really hard not to notice all the colors.

Yeah! Fall Break!
Well it is finnally here and almost over at the same time. I am talking about fall break. We only get thurs, and fri off of school, but I guess it is better than nothing. It was so nice not to have to do anything today. I kept Daisy home with me all day, instead of taking her to daycare. We slept in, went to a friends house to play, came home and took a nap, then woke up and played together for the rest of the evening. So much fun. Tomorrow I am going to take Daisy to daycare for a few hours and clean my house, then pick her up and go to the park before we go to work at the fitness center.

New car
I got a new (better anyway) car today. It is a 1994 Mazda. I do miss my blazer, even though nothing worked, but this car is pretty sweet too, for the price I got it for. It was only $2,500, and the engine is in perfect condition. The only thing that is wrong with it is the air. It works, but you can’t control it. The guy I bought it from told me that if it needs to be replaced (he doesn’t know if it does) then it will cost about a $1,000, so he took that off the price of the car. I’ll eventually get that fixed, but for now, that really isn’t a big deal. I just take the fuse out that controls the air when I don’t need it on, and then put the fuse back in when I do want air.
Oh, and I just want to say that I got a B on my last anatomy and physiology test. If you knew what a natzi my A&P teacher is, you would understand why that is such a big deal. So yeah for me!

Diagnosis
Tuesday, October 3, 2006
Oh man!
“Oh man” just happens to be one of Daisys favorite phrases lately. It also happens to be the perfect phrase for my day today. I got out of my last class early, that was great. Then on my way home, in the middle of nowhere on the freeway, my blazer decides to “die”. Big bummer. Luckily, God (or something) was watching out for me. When I got out of my car, I looked behind me and there was a semi that had pulled over behind. I don’t know where he came from, I swear he came out of nowhere, and the driver let me use his cell phone to call my mom to come and get me. Then he even stayed there for the 25 minutes it took my mom get to me and my car, just to make sure I would be alright. If he hadn’t pulled over behind me, I would have been stuck. So that is good, but now I am out of a car until I can get it fixed or get a new one. Right now it is being towed to the mechanic, so we’ll find out tommrow what the diagnosis is.
